Second post of the day?! I'm on a roll :)

Tip of the Day/Words of Advice:

"All the efforts you are making will ultimately pay off."

So true :) Keep believing in yourself even though times get hard and everything seems impossible. You are never alone and hope is always around the corner!

Hope you had a great Memorial Day friends! :]

Love always,

Carpe Diem.

Carpe Diem.

Or in Latin, "Seize the Day", is probably an inspirational quote for my everyday lifestyle. I need inspiration from time to time and I always tell myself, Carpe Diem. We always need motivation to keep us going in life especially to reach our ambitions and goals.

My current goals for the rest of 2012: Lose weight (at least 10-20 lbs!), get into pharmacy school for the following fall, eat healthy (THIS IS A MUST), learn how to cook good food, & get back into painting.
Throughout the years, I learned anything can be achieved as long as the heart and mind believes it. Hard work and determination can get anyone anywhere they desire. It is definitely funny how the things we least expect can happen.. miraculous surprises just seem to come out of nowhere.

I want to travel the world one day and see everything, I want my eyes to experience the world's beauty. Does anyone else want to travel and see amazing scenery? Or is there something we want to achieve but don't know where to start? You're not alone. Only you can make that difference in your life. Asking people for advice is always good, but no one can fix your problems or achieve your goals for you. Pace yourself each day at small tasks to achieve your goal. If your goal is to ace that next exam, study each day even if it's only 30 minutes because those 30 minutes can make a huge difference. NO CRAMMING AND PROCRASTINATION! We all tend to put off our tasks and things to do and it does not help us at all. Believe in yourself and always stay positive.

To all those who are also trying to lose weight, dealing with personal issues, and more ... here is some motivation :)

Love always,
Chanelle Marie <3

Kaeng Raeng Review... DETOX anyone?!

Hello loves!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! :)

Before I start off with this post, has anyone of you heard of a detox before? If not, a detox is: a process in which you remove toxins and other leftover contaminated products in your body. To do so, you can change your consumption habits or try some product lines! I highly recommend doing research on detox products before using or buying. Detoxing is a great way to cleanse your body of unwanted contamination =]

I'm not sure if you heard of Kaeng Raeng (Be Healthy, Be Strong). It is an all-natural, vegan detox system which consists of yummy yet nutritious smoothies! :] The products come in 3 flavors: juu juu, reunn, and glai roong. Each flavor package is made of healthy probiotics and freeze-dried fruit which provides a filling, delicious experience. There are also three different levels to match which detox is right for each person. There is a beginners, veteran, & master cleanse with different timelines (3 or 6 day timeline). To have the best results for the detoxifying process, it is best to eat raw fruits and veggies. I bought carrots, apples, oranges, grapes, etc. just in case I get hungry throughout this process.

This detox product is supposed to be safe compared to other detoxifying products. Kinda scary to think some products out there make you starve or can harm your body... :\ This cleanse is also a great way to build & maintain a healthy lifestyle and for weight loss. It is bikini season so it's perfect to try a detox! I also chose to try the beginner's cleanse because this is my first detox experience.

I am currently trying to lose weight. About that subject, I will keep you guys updated.

Before I forget... I've got pictures!!! ^_^

Here is the box which contains the detox packages. I got the 6 day cleanse but I will be doing a 3 day cleanse to see how this whole detoxifying process goes.

These are what the 3 packages look like. Nutritious stuff!

There are recipes found online on the Kaeng Raeng website. I followed the recipes because it was recommended to use mix up the smoothies with fruits for beginners :)

I just made a smoothie. YAY! Here is the finished product. I used the Juu Juu package which has blueberries and bananas, I think. I forgot what the package mentioned. It was yummy! NOMNOMNOM.

This is DAY 1 of my detoxifying process. 2 more days to go! I will keep you guys updated and let you know how I liked this detox. TEAM HEALTHY! Also, more info can be found on the Kaeng Raeng website. I bought this product on my own and I purhcased it online :)

Hello! Welcome to my Blog :)

Hi, Hello, Hola, Konnichiwa :) My name is Chanelle Marie and I am a current college student eager to discover life and travel the world. My greatest ambition is to one day become a pharmacist. I love art, I started painting and drawing around the 4th grade. Makeup & Beauty is also one of my main loves in life. I am currently finding a passion in cooking, baking, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Yes, I see being fit and strong as beauty. As you can tell, I am definitely new to blogging. I created this blog to allow myself to share my creative thoughts with everyone as I continue my journey in life. In other words, I want to discuss topics of health, beauty, fashion, etc. I also wanted to start blogging because I wanted to use this as an opportunity for a life changing experience as a new lifestyle and beauty blogger. Thank you for taking the time to read this, enjoy my blog! :)

Btw, why is my blog titled Island College Girl Gone Blog? To answer this question, I am from the Hawaiian Islands and now attending college on the mainland. I know right, a long distance from home! I am grateful for such an opportunity to explore and see a different perspective of life. I hope I am able to inspire my viewers to fulfill the lifestyle they dream of. I have an exam and paper in my way so I will take care of that and officially start blogging!
